The Grimoire: Saint Bae Finishing Salt Chips
Simply divine on chips.
Not every spell is cast at the start. Saint Bae is a finishing blend, a blessed sprinkle of layered salts and warm spice that you scatter at the very end, like a benediction over a plate of hot chips. Blessed by holy white mages, allegedly.
What you'll need
- A fresh batch of hot chips, fries or roast potatoes
- Saint Bae, to finish
- A squeeze of lemon (optional)
The method
- Cook your chips however you like them — oven, air-fryer or deep-fried — until golden and crisp.
- The moment they're out and still glistening, sprinkle Saint Bae over the top, just as you would table salt.
- Toss lightly so every chip catches some, and serve at once.
Sage's tips
- Add it after cooking, not before. The black salts in the blend can stain and dull during cooking, but as a garnish they shine.
- A pinch over popcorn, halloumi or buttered sweetcorn is a revelation. Treat it as your everyday finishing salt with a halo.
